The congress will have a keynote speaker on Global "One Health" with a focus on zoonoses as well as eight plenary speakers in the following thematic areas:

• Enteric food- and water-borne infections
• Drug discovery and antimicrobial resistance
• Emerging zoonoses and wildlife interface
• Respiratory zoonotic diseases and global impact
• Immunology and vaccine development
• Parasitic zoonoses and environment
• Genomics and molecular epidemiology
• Policy, capacity needs and other significant issues

Additional speakers from regional and intergovernmental organizations will be featured during evening receptions and dinner.
